Victoria-Saanich CADORA Awards

To qualify for Victoria-Saanich CADORA end-of-the-year awards, a horse/rider combination must have ridden in at least three Victoria-Saanich CADORA shows (including any schooling show and/or the Capital City Classic), and have volunteered at least three times, and have received scores from three different judges.  Note that the Capital City Classic competition qualifies for two scores providing they are by two different judges.

Year-end awards are based on the highest average scores achieved at the same level for the same horse / rider combination scored by three different judges.

Awards are presented at the Victoria-Saanich CADORA Annual Awards Banquet.

Medal Awards

Medal Award Criteria

Medals are awarded on 3 scores with 3 different judges at same level. These 3 scores must fall within the categories or be a combination (not an average) within or better than the category to qualify for a medal. A horse and rider combination can only receive a medal category once, meaning: this same horse and rider combination can receive a bronze then silver then gold at the same level on concurrent or following show years (once gold is achieved they are finished with eligibility for that particular level). If a rider has more than one horse then they will also be eligible as another combination for the medal awards in whichever level they are riding. The scores are not cumulative over the years as this would be too difficult to keep track of. The awards are for the current year only.

The categories are as follows:

Training, Level 1 and F.E.I. children’s:
Gold 62% +
Silver 58-61.99 %
Bronze 55-57.99 %

Level 2 and up:
Gold 60% +
Silver 58-59.99%
Bronze 55-57.99%
